I hope this finds you well. I am writing to you regarding a summer camp counselor position at Camp Seaside under the Freeport Recreation & Community Education company and am interested in applying. With my background in taking care of children, I am very delighted to apply and be a part of this team.

As someone who enjoys being outdoors and taking on a challenge, I would be very interested in learning more about becoming a camp counselor at Camp Seaside during the summer. I have experience working regularly with babysitting a family that has four siblings. I am motivated and want to do my work well. I am outgoing and have a positive attitude. I have excellent communication skills that can be beneficial with planning events for the kids in the camp.

Even though I have not worked in a camp setting with children, my babysitting experience has provided me with the opportunity to gain the skills I need in order to work with children. These skills include being patient, open-mindedness, responsibility and a problem solver. By being a problem solver, I can assess the situation and take a deep breath before reacting and find a solution that benefits everyone.
