Reflection on My Writing for ENG 110

Reflection on My Writing for ENG 110

My writing for papers in this class has grown in this semester. For example, paper #3 shows how I found many sources that helped me show evidence for the opposing side of telemedicine and the side that agrees that telemedicine can change the healthcare industry for the better. My ability to select certain facts is shown when I mention in my paper that J.D Power found that one in ten Americans use telemedicine, while 75% do not have access to it, according to Zboswell. The assignment itself is about how we pick a problem from a chosen topic and come up with potential solutions that can be backed up by sources. Also, my ability to locate and evaluate sources was efficient, and I was able to accurately use all of them. In paper #3, I used multiple sources that were able to confirm evidence for solutions that I provided for the problem of communication in telemedicine. I was able to use more than three sources for my paper, and I incorporated all of them without relying heavily on sources. The relationship between my ideas and the source material were equally related to each other and everything flowed well when showing evidence to each idea. I did not include any quotes in this paper, but I used paraphrases when I mentioned the sources I found. The explanations between the relationship of textual evidence and ideas were related to each other, but there could have been smoother transitions between the ideas and the source materials. Also, more detail could have been added to the explanations. I did not have any embedded quotes, but I had some signal phrasing with the source materials. I made sure to paraphrase when I used facts from my sources, and I had some transitioning sentences. Lastly, I had proper formatting when it came to parenthetical citations and citing my sources under the works cited page. The parenthetical citations match the sources that were cited under the works cited page.
