Reflection on My Writing Process for Paper #2
I was satisfied with my early drafts of paper #2 and I spent about 1 hour for the first one and about 45 minutes for the second one since I was just looking over the second draft. I was happy with my topic because my mom works for a telemedicine company, and I wanted to learn about something new by doing more in-depth research. What I would have done differently is try to stop overthinking how good my paper is on the first or second draft when the drafts are just supposed to be building blocks to the final paper. My experience with the peer review for paper #2 was not too bad, but I felt like I did not receive a lot of feedback. However, I found it hard to give criticism in some areas after I read my partner’s paper. The peer feedback was not helpful to me because I was told my sentences were confusing but did not get any suggestions on how to fix them. The lessons that I took away from this writing process are that it is fine if the first or second draft of the paper is not perfect, and that stressing over papers does not need to happen.
